Antelope Island State Park is an extremely beautiful place. There are about seventy eight camp grounds here. This is the largest island in the Great Salt Lake area. There are many activities which you can enjoy in this state park. You will also come across animals like bisons, deer, coyotes, antelopes and waterfowl. You can camp in RV or a tent. You should preferably get a reservation well in advance. This island remains open through the year.
Millsite State Park has twenty camping sites with many amenities like water hookups, restrooms, showers and a dumping station. A 435-acre lake is located within the state park. You can enjoy water activities like boating, fishing and swimming. The Ferron Canyon forms the backdrop of the park and lends amazing view each morning.
Fermont Indian State Park is a unique state park with beautiful rock art displays and formations which were made by the Fremont Indians. The state park will take you back in time and also educate you about various legends associated with the area. The park is spread over an area of about nine hundred acres. You can enjoy hiking on many trails. Some of the trails are handicap accessible trails. The park remains opens round the year. You can enjoy camping in both RV’s and tents.
Yuba State Park especially meant for water lovers. The tourists love the sandy beaches. Activities like fishing, waterskiing and boating are also available. The park has a large campground which is ideal for families and groups. Amenities like restrooms, hot showers, drinking water and a dumping station are available to campers.
Utah Lake Park lies just thirty miles away from Salt Lake City. The park remains open through the year. The park has Utah’s largest fresh water lake in its heart. Boating is a popular activity here. One can enjoy speed boats, sailboats, canoes and kayaks. There are seventy one camp sites on the grounds. Trailers and RVs are allowed. This is a perfect stop for families as amenities like restrooms, showers, and handicap accessible trails and fishing areas are available.
Snow Canyon Sate Park is ideal for a rocky adventure. The park has sandstone and lava rocks and is popular with photographers, hikers, bikers and campers. The park has thirty four sites where camping can be done in tents and 17 sites where camping can be done in RV with hookups. This is a quiet place but suitable for group camping.
Minersville State Park is a favourite both with the locals and tourists. The state park is located in the south western Utah. All modern amenities are available in all twenty nine camp sites. Facilities like modern restrooms, showers, electricity hookups and a dumping station are available. You can enjoy activities like swimming, fishing and boating are available within the park’s boundaries.
Red Fleet State Park has a sandy beach, boat ramp, restrooms and picnic area. All the campsites are well equipped with modern amenities. The park has twenty nine camp sites with room for tents, trailers and RV’s. Also visit the dinosaur trail which you can follow on foot.
